What is ACP?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a government benefit program that provides discounts on monthly broadband Internet access service. Eligible consumers can receive upgraded plans that include additional free data* every month!
How Do I Qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program?
You may be eligible for ACP if you participate in a government assistance program. Here are some of the popular qualifying programs for ACP:
SNAP / FOOD STAMPS
MEDICAID
LIFELINE PROGRAM
VETERANS & SURVIVORS PENSION BENEFIT
FEDERAL PUBLIC HOUSING ASSISTANCE (FPHA)
Alongside federal assistance programs, you can qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program in Oklahoma and other states through your income. You meet the requirements if your income is 200% or less than the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.
The dollar figure to qualify for the ACP program depends on where you live and your household size. Households must show proof of income to support their application, including pay stubs and/or tax returns.
If you live on qualifying Tribal lands, you may also be eligible for ACP benefits. The income requirement is the same, but you can also qualify via several Tribal assistance programs, including:
Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
Head Start (if your household meets the income standard)
Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
As with qualification through federal assistance programs, you must provide proof of participation via an official document when applying for the ACP.
